Israeli military spokesman Daniel Hagari expressed the Israeli military's "deepest condolences" over what he described as a “serious incident” where seven aid workers of the World Central Kitchen were killed by air strikes in besieged Gaza on April 1.
"As a professional military committed to international law, we are committed to examining our operations thoroughly and transparently," he added.
WCK has confirmed that Israel killed the workers hours after the group brought in a new shipload of food to distribute to Palestinians who been have pushed to the brink of starvation by Israel's brutal war.
