Colorful and Festive Ramadan Celebration in Houston!

At the vibrant Ramadan Bayram celebration hosted at the Consulate General of the Republic of Turkey in Houston’s residence, the Turkish and American communities came together in unity.

Houston, TX – The Consulate General of the Republic of Turkiye in Houston hosted a vibrant Ramadan celebration at its residence, bringing together the Turkish and American communities.

Under the patronage of Consul General Ahmet Akıntı and his wife, Özge Akıntı, the Ramadan Bayram celebration witnessed the gathering of prominent figures from various sectors. Among the distinguished guests were Yavuzhan Erdem, Commercial Attaché of the Consulate General; Selçuk Kayalar, President of the MUSIAD Texas chapter; Hakan and Burhan Tanışman from DecoVita; Burhan Altınbilek, President of TOKI Investment Company; Ziya Öztürk, Manager of Turkish Airlines in Houston; Zehra Özge Yılmaz, owner of a PR agency; Sevinç Zeynallı; Selim Baysal, President of Seba Company; Bayram Orhan from Houston Diyanet and Cenk Çelik, Director of Alaturka Texas.

The event, held on a sunny April day, created an atmosphere of warmth and camaraderie. The festivities at the Consul General’s residence provided a joyous occasion for attendees, reflecting the spirit of the Turkish community. Consul General Ahmet Akıntı, in his remarks to Alaturka, extended his greetings for Ramadan Bayram to the Turkish-American community and emphasized the strengthening ties between Turkey and Houston.

Akıntı highlighted the growing presence of the Turkish community in Houston and the increasing interest of businesses, particularly from Houston, in investing in America. He noted that Houston has become a preferred destination for Turkish families, with many opting for the city over Los Angeles and New York.

The event underscored the significance of unity and solidarity as the Turkish and American communities came together to celebrate Ramadan Bayram.
