Volleyball: Russia beat Turkey in Euro Championship


Latest European champions Russia won against Turkey 3-1 in the 2019 Men’s CEV Volleyball European Championship Pool C match on Thursday. 

Turkey were unable to make a good start to the CEV EuroVolley 2019 as the latest European winners Russia earned Thursday’s win in the Slovenian capital Ljubljana.

Russia won three sets against Turkey by 25-13, 25-17 and 25-15.

Turkey won the second set 25-23 to keep their hopes alive.

The Pool C has been held in Ljubljana but this tournament has been co-hosted by France, Belgium, Slovenia and the Netherlands.

In this pool, Turkey will face Belarus, Finland, North Macedonia, as well as the host nation Slovenia at Arena Stozice Ljubljana. 

Turkey’s next match will be against North Macedonia on Sept. 13.
