Turkey’s Ildem wins bronze in world wrestling

ISTANBUL

Turkey’s Cenk Ildem won a bronze medal in the World Wrestling Championships in Kazakhstan’s capital Nursultan on Monday.

In Greco-Roman style, Ildem beat Georgian Giorgi Melia 4-1 in men’s 97kg category to claim bronze.

Previously, he bagged bronze medal in the World Wrestling Championships in 2011 and 2014, and in 2016 Rio Olympics.

The World Wrestling Championships started in Kazakhstan on Saturday that will run through Sept. 22.

Turkey’s 30 athletes are participating in the championships.
