Football: Liverpool, Inter Milan dominate leagues

Liverpool and Inter Milan sit at the top positions in their leagues — the English Premier League and Italian Serie A, respectively — after the latest matches over the weekend and having won all their games.

In the English Premier League, leader Liverpool won against Newcastle United 3-1 in Anfield stadium to reach 15 points.

Reigning champion Manchester City was defeated by Norwich City 3-2 in an away game while Manchester United beat Leicester City 1-0 at Old Trafford Stadium.

Chelsea beat Wolverhampton 5-2 in an away game in Molineux Stadium with the young forward Tammy Abraham scoring a hat-trick for the London team with goals in the 34th, 41st and 55th minutes.

Tottenham Hotspur moved into third place after they hammered Crystal Palace 4-0 at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Liverpool are at the top of the league with 15 points followed by Manchester City which have 10 points and Tottenham Hotspur, Manchester United, Leicester City, Chelsea, Arsenal and West Ham United with eight points each.

In Italian Serie A, Inter Milan beat Udinese 1-0 with Italian forward Stefano Sensi to win the first three matches in a row.

Runner-up Bologna defeated Brescia 4-3 in an away game to reach seven points.

Juventus were held to a 0-0 draw at Artemio Franchi Stadium to Fiorentina. Turin city’s black-white club have seven points.

Roma won against Sassuolo 4-2 at Stadio Olimpico. Cengiz Under did not make it to the squad due to an injury while Turkish player Mert Muldur played 70 minutes for Sassuolo.

Inter Milan are at the top of the league with nine points, followed by Bologna and Juventus with seven points each.
