Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu congratulated his recently-appointed Swedish counterpart Ann Linde over phone, the diplomatic sources reported on Wednesday.
Sweden’s former Foreign Minister Margot Wallstrom announced her intention to leave her post, paving the way for Prime Minister Stefan Lofven to name Linde, the trade minister and Social Democratic party veteran, to the position.
Linde assumed office as country’s top diplomat on Sept. 10 after Margot Wallstrom announced her intention to leave her post.
