The IAAF World Athletics Championships will start in Doha, Qatar on Sept. 27.
Some 1,900 athletes from 209 countries will participate in the sports event that will run through Oct. 6, the official website of the tournament said in a statement.
Turkey will join the championships in the Qatari capital with 20 athletes.
The champion of the 2017 tournament Ramil Guliyev will compete for Turkey in two categories, men’s 200 meters and men’s 4×100 meters.

20km race walk: Meryem Bekmez, Ayse Tekdal
