ANKARA
Besiktas failed to score a win Monday against fellow Istanbul team Basaksehir at home.
Producing one of their worst-ever league performances, the Black Eagles’ cold streak continued with a 1-1 draw.
Basaksehir’s striker Enzo Crivelli found the net in the 54th minute while Besiktas responded in the 84th minute with a penalty goal by Burak Yilmaz.
Istanbul’s black and white club were desperate for a win to stay close to the league’s top.
In another match Monday, Trabzonspor was defeated by Demir Grup Sivasspor 2-1 in an away game.
At the Yeni 4 Eylul Stadium in Sivas, Donis Avdijaj gave Trabzonspor an early lead in the third minute.
Despite being down 0-1, Sivasspor came back in the first half to beat their opponents with a goal from Fernando Andrade in the 41st minute.
The red and white club found the winning goal in the 96th minute in stoppage time courtesy of Ugur Ciftci.
Meanwhile, Trabzonspor forward Alexander Sorloth missed a penalty in the 80th minute.
