Turkish sprinter Ramil Guliyev took fifth place Tuesday in the men’s 200-meter final of the 2019 IAAF World Athletics Championships in Qatar’s capital Doha.
The 29-year-old athlete ended the competition with a time of 20.07 seconds.
American sprinter Noah Lyles won the gold with a time of 19.83 seconds.
Canadian athlete Andre De Grasse came in second with a time of 19.95 seconds while Alex Quinonez of Ecuador finished third with a time of 19.98.
Guliyev won the world title in London in 2017.
The Turkish sprinter was awarded a gold medal at the 2018 European Athletics Championships in Berlin, Germany.
