Record numbers attended two games of the 2019 FIBA World Cup in China, which was held in August.
The USA vs Turkey and the USA vs Japan games were attended by 18,000 people, said FIBA in a statement late Wednesday.
Turkey lost 93-92 in overtime to the team USA on Sept. 3 and USA easily got the victory against Japan with a 98-45 score on Sept. 5.
Spain took home the World Cup which was held in China from Aug. 31 to Sept. 15.
Some 794,951 people flocked to the sports halls in China to watch the matches.
Also, it was televised to 3 billion people and received 1.5 billion views on social media sites.
The #FIBAWC and #WorldGotGame hashtags reached 22 billion impressions and 535 million engagements.
In addition, a total of 2,422 accredited journalist from 81 countries followed the competition in China.
