ISTANBUL
Greek basketball club Olympiakos’ head coach David Blatt resigned two months after being diagnosed with multiple sclerosis.
“After a long and respectful discussion between the owners and myself, our two parties have decided it’s in the best interest of both sides to part ways,” Blatt said in a statement on the club website on Sunday.
In their website, Olympiakos also announced “the consensual termination of cooperation” with the coach.
Blatt was the head coach of NBA team Cleveland Cavaliers between 2014 and 2016.
He also coached two Turkish clubs, Anadolu Efes and Darussafaka.
