Turkish stocks end Thursday down 0.87%

ANKARA

Turkey’s benchmark stock index ended the day down 0.87% to close at 98,780.38 points on Thursday.

Starting the day at 99,957.90 points, Borsa Istanbul’s BIST 100 index dropped 868.36 points from 99,648.74 points at midweek close.

An ounce of gold sold for $1,504.00 at the daily close in Borsa Istanbul’s Precious Metals and Diamond Markets, versus $1,508.00 at the previous close.

The price of Brent oil was $58.87 per barrel as of 6 p.m. local time (1500GMT) on Thursday — with a day range of $57.79 to $59.14.

At the beginning of 2019, a barrel of Brent oil sold for around $53.
