ANKARA
Turkish male athlete Ahmet Onder won silver medal in the Artistic Gymnastics World Championships 2019 in Germany on Sunday.
Onder secured 14,983 points to become runner-up in the parallel bars final.
He also qualified for the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo.
Joe Fraser from Great Britain was the world champion after earning 15,000 points in Sunday’s final in Stuttgart.
Japan’s Kaya Kazuma bagged bronze medal with 14,966 points.
Another Turkish gymnast Ferhat Arican ended the final in the fifth spot. Arican bagged 14,900 points.
Turkey on Saturday won its first ever gold medal in the Artistic Gymnastics World Championships 2019.
In the men’s rings final, the 24-year-old athlete Ibrahim Colak got 14,933 points and won the gold medal for his country.
Turkey won two World Championships medals for the first time in history.
