Turkish stocks up 0.81% at Thursday’s close

ANKARA

Turkey’s benchmark stock index ended Thursday up 0.81% to close the day at 94,896.23 points.

Borsa Istanbul’s BIST 100 index started the day at 94,134.05 points. As of daily close, it gained 759 points from Wednesday’s close at 94,137.22.

An ounce of gold sold for $1,490.00 at the weekly close in Borsa Istanbul’s Precious Metals and Diamond Markets, versus $1,485.50 at the previous close.

The price of Brent oil was $59.34 per barrel as of 6.30 p.m. local time (1530GMT) on Thursday — with a day range hovering between $58.73 and $59.49.

At the beginning of 2019, a barrel of Brent oil sold for around $53.
