Krasnodar beat Trabzonspor 2-0 in Europa League

ANKARA

Turkish football club Trabzonspor lost 2-0 to Russia’s Krasnodar late Thursday in a Group C UEFA Europa League match.

Neither team was able to break the deadlock in the first half at Trabzon’s Medical Park Stadium.

But in the second half, Swedish forward Marcus Berg scored in the 49th minute of the match, giving Krasnodar the lead.

Krasnodar’s Dutch midfielder Tonny Vilhena doubled the lead in stoppage time and the match ended 2-0.

Also in Group C, Basel beat Getafe 1-0 in an away match.

Trabzonspor are still winless at the bottom of Group C with only one point after three matches.

Basel currently top the group with seven points, followed by Getafe, with six points.

Krasnodar are in third place with three points.
