Turkey’s benchmark stock index ended the day down 1.15% to close at 98,692.03 points on Wednesday.
Starting the day at 98,920.86 points, Borsa Istanbul’s BIST 100 index decreased 1,146.27 points from 99,838.30 points at Monday’s close.
An ounce of gold sold for $1,493.00 at the daily close in Borsa Istanbul’s Precious Metals and Diamond Markets, versus $1,504.80 at the previous close.
The price of Brent oil was around $60.88 per barrel as of 6 p.m. local time (1500GMT) on Wednesday — with a day range of $60.62 to $61.55.
The market was closed between midday on Monday and on Tuesday due to Turkey’s National Republic Day on Oct. 29.
