The Italian national team hammered Armenia 9-1 at home to become one of the most successful nations at the EURO 2020 qualifiers after winning all matches in Group J.
The dominant Italy’s goals were scored by Ciro Immobile (2), Nicolo Zaniolo (2), Jorginho (p), Nicolo Barella, Alessio Romagnoli, Riccardo Orsolini and Federico Chiesa.
Edgar Babayan was the only scorer for Armenia.
This sensational win was recorded as one of the great glories in Italy’s history, as they finished at the top of Group J, collecting 30 points in 10 matches under Italian manager Roberto Mancini.
Also on Monday, Switzerland hammered Gibraltar 6-1 in an away Group D match to seal their place in EURO 2020.
In the same group, Denmark also secured their EURO 2020 spot after drawing 1-1 with the Republic of Ireland in Dublin.
Austria, Belgium, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, England, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Russia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey and Ukraine have so far qualified for EURO 2020.
