Turkey’s Borsa Istanbul down 0.13% at close

ANKARA

Turkey’s benchmark stock index closed the day at 105,844.17 points on Wednesday, down 0.13% from the previous close.

Borsa Istanbul’s BIST 100 index started the day at 105,935.82 points. As of the daily close, it decreased 138.96 points from Tuesday’s close of 105,983.14 points.

The total market value of the BIST 100 was around 718 billion Turkish liras ($125 billion) by market close, and the daily trading volume was 8.6 billion Turkish liras (some $1.49billion).

The price of one ounce of gold was around $1,459.20 by market close, up from $1,458.00 at the previous close, according to data from Borsa Istanbul’s Precious Metals and Diamond Markets.

The price of Brent crude oil was around $63.17 per barrel as of 6 p.m. (1500GMT) on Wednesday.
