BERLIN
At least five people have been injured in an explosion at a waste disposal plant near Linz airport, Austrian authorities said on Thursday.
Public broadcaster ORF reported that the two of injured persons with serious injuries were sent to hospital, while more than 200 firefighters were trying to extinguish the fire.
Video footage showed dark clouds of smoke billowing from the plant.
The cause of the explosion wasn’t immediately known.
